"Will my child be too sheltered?"
Our goal is to develop confident, articulate and well-rounded individuals prepared to thrive in modern British society. Our rich PSHE curriculum covers mental and physical health, citizenship and the rule of law, financial literacy, respect for diversity, and global issues. Pupils take part in workshops, talks from public figures including Members of Parliament, presentations at Bridgewater Hall, and community projects such as litter picking and working with the elderly.
"Will my child learn about other faiths?"
Our curriculum is rooted in respect and understanding. Alongside Islamic values, our Religious Studies programme includes comprehensive learning about Christianity, Judaism, Sikhism, Hinduism and Buddhism. On World Religions Day we hosted speakers from Buddhist, Sikh, Jewish and Christian communities, and educational visits to churches and synagogues support experiential learning and mutual respect.
"How does academic performance compare with other schools?"
MMPS has a proven track record of academic excellence spanning over 30 years. We follow the national curriculum, enhanced by Islamic Studies, Arabic and Quran. Our SATs results consistently exceed national averages. Our pupils progress to prestigious secondary schools including Manchester Islamic Grammar, KD Grammar, Altrincham Grammar Schools, Manchester High School for Girls, Manchester Grammar and Stockport Grammar — and our alumni have graduated from top UK universities into careers in medicine, dentistry, engineering, architecture, law and education.
"Is the school inspected?"
As an independent school we are inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), approved by the Department for Education. Our inspection reports are available to view on the website.
